I have come up of a name for our first star system, C'satherin. Our first (And only) planet within the system is named simply Genesis.
From now on, if you create an element it must have a two letter abbreviation to classify it. Do not repeat abbreviations, if I find one repeated it shall be changed. The Latin system will work.

    Garabus

    Domain: Eukaryota
    Kingdom: Chromalveolate
    Phylum: Heterokontophyta
    Class: Xanthophyceae
    Order: Botrydiales
    Family: Botrydiaceae
    Genus: Garabus
    Species: Garabus desimotic

    Color: dark-green, yellow-green, light green, orange-green

    Description:
Garabus desimotic (Gare-ab-us Dess-aye-mot-ic) is a very nutrient algae that grows alongside low cliffs and beach rocks. Just as recognizable as its innards full of zinc and various other vitamins is its quick grow right. In just a matter of days a single colony can cover meters of cliff, it is said you can even watch Garabus grow, and harvest it as so. Many oceanic and land life feed of of it due to the plenty growing amongst the waters.

Quantity staple food, huh? Well, it'll seem pretty interesting to watch a fast forward video tape of it growing or it covering an entire cliff, but I mostly see this as a feeding/growing ground for other plant or animal species.

Unfortunately, due to the early age the galaxy, animals such as those that you mentioned are scarce. So far we only have algae and bacteria. Genesis (Our first planet) will only have a maximum organism of oceanic life.
