Ok, I'm setting this up as a thread to put everything about the solar system and a place to post everything for criticism. I will add more when I have time.
First, heres the basic template for a new planet. Please note these will be updated when I have more time.
Name:
Classification:
Temperature:
Atmosphere Density:
Gravity:
Notable locations/landmarks:
Description:
Life Summary:
Geology:
Moon(s):
For classification, I'm using a basic system.
Gas giant - Planets mainly composed of gaseos substances.
Earthlike - Fairly self explanatory. Has oceans as well as land.
Oceanic - A planet
covered primarily by water.
Arid - A planet fairly devoid of water.
Snowball - An Icy planet, mostly covered by snow and ice.
Volcanic - A planet with increadably high temperatures.
Greenhouse - A planet with a thick atmosphere and high temperatures.
Barren - A planet which cannot support any biological life. It has very little to no atmosphere.
Ok, for our solar system, we're going to need more than simply one gas giant to keep us safe from debris. So, we should have at least two gas giants, I'm gonna say three and then we can add or subtract later. So, three gas giants, spread out through the outer parts of the system. At least one inner planet, Genesis, but only Genesis and gas giants would be odd, so I propose at minimum two other inner terrestrial planets. No more than six, so I'll work on making five and we can add/subtract from that.
I'm currently working on getting a map of the system and the planets orbits.
(If you have any questions, please post them, or ask me if I'm online.)
