Approximate Year in T'sar: 18-Million years since formation.

I have come up of a name for our first star system, C'satherin. Our first (And only) planet within the system is named simply Genesis.
From now on, if you create an element it must have a two letter abbreviation to classify it. Do not repeat abbreviations, if I find one repeated it shall be changed. The Latin system will work.

C'satherin system specs Empty C'satherin system specs

Ok, I'm setting this up as a thread to put everything about the solar system and a place to post everything for criticism. I will add more when I have time.

First, heres the basic template for a new planet. Please note these will be updated when I have more time.

    Name:
    Classification:
    Temperature:
    Atmosphere Density:
    Gravity:
    Notable locations/landmarks:
    Description:
    Life Summary:
    Geology:
    Moon(s):

For classification, I'm using a basic system.
Gas giant - Planets mainly composed of gaseos substances.
Earthlike - Fairly self explanatory. Has oceans as well as land.
    Oceanic - A planet
    covered primarily by water.
Arid - A planet fairly devoid of water.
Snowball - An Icy planet, mostly covered by snow and ice.
Volcanic - A planet with increadably high temperatures.
Greenhouse - A planet with a thick atmosphere and high temperatures.
Barren - A planet which cannot support any biological life. It has very little to no atmosphere.

Ok, for our solar system, we're going to need more than simply one gas giant to keep us safe from debris. So, we should have at least two gas giants, I'm gonna say three and then we can add or subtract later. So, three gas giants, spread out through the outer parts of the system. At least one inner planet, Genesis, but only Genesis and gas giants would be odd, so I propose at minimum two other inner terrestrial planets. No more than six, so I'll work on making five and we can add/subtract from that.

I'm currently working on getting a map of the system and the planets orbits.

(If you have any questions, please post them, or ask me if I'm online.)

Well, this seems like a rather fair and easy to use template. Quick question though, fellow resident: will colonized planets count in T'sar? I mean, as residents we're already sentient and fully capable of colonizing barren planets or sometimes even terraforming them into lush paradises, which is one of my personal favorite hobbies.

Terraformation, doubt it. Sentience doesn't come until later.

Fine, I'll just be observing most of T'sar from the comfort of my vessel then.

Classifing planets, err, you know i'm much better in life science than astronomy.. Classifying planets is so weird, it's like in numbers, but looks so random..

Well, as far as terraforming is concerned, this clasification of planets has almost nothing to do with it. I'll add a section relevant to terraforming. I've been thinking of using the idea of Spore's T-score system, only expanded. T-0 would be atmosphereless, or with an atmosphere so hostile it destroys all that enters it, and a surface that no machine or astronaut could touch. T-10 would be like a perfect paradise. I'll try to get that up soon also.

As for ease, I designed it so anyone could make a planet, and that it could be adapted easily.

Well, if we do use T scales, a T-0 planet would only be good for mining with a high powered meteor shield and a ship with good armor and resistance to hostile environments. Also, seeing as storms never reach higher than the atmosphere and not where most ships reach (spiraling several hundred miles above the sky, but still technically close enough to be in it's atmosphere). I think. I don't know, I'm not really all that much into technicalities.
